5 Years and Counting

Ryan and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday. Due to Morgan running a fever and having no voice, we had take-out from Fatz. Probably could have go to McDonald's for the kids 'cause they order cheese burgers. But it was a nice evening. Our weekend was cut short because Ryan is still on the Shutdown, so he had to leave today at 2:45 pm. But here is our Anniversary pic by Karen B. Pillows. I guess Ryan and I are going to last forever now that we made it to 5 years.

A new Chapter in the Chaplin household

Today was Miles' first day of school. We walked him into the classroom. The minute he stepped in the room, we disappeared. He paid close attention to both his teacher and her assistant. He gave Ryan, Morgan and myself big hugs and kisses before we left. Morgan, on the otherhand, started to crying "I want my Miles" after we left the room. She has never been away from Miles and this was a big shock to her. But she had one on one time with Ryan today.

When I picked him up from school at 2:20 pm he said that he had a good day. Liked playing with his new friends. Here are the pics I took this morning. Hope everyone enjoys.

Ryan has found a JOB!!!

Ryan got the call today from Dad with a walk on date for the Maguire Nuclear Plant in NC on Wednesday Aug. 19th. Dad, Pop, and myself have been trying to get Ryan into that field since we got married. But Ryan wanted to do more with computers, and not electrity. But after he was laid off from TeleData USA due to low volume, he began to see the light. We are hoping that once he finishes this Shutdown, he will be able to do the Shutdown at VC Summers and possibly become perminate there. Fingers crossed.

Morgan is a celebrity!!!

Morgan is an Internet Celebrity. As many know, my awesome cousin Karen is a photographer. I love her pics. She took our family photos back in April.(Have the sneek peeks on here) Well, today while keeping up with her blog I noticed that she has Morgan's pic as her main photo for her photography company website. So excited, I called Ryan and Morgan in to see. You can check her out. PictureLily is on the right under the blogs I keep track of.

Morgan Is Potty Training!!!

YAY!!! Morgan is finally taking the incentive to potty train. We have been trying to get her to come around to the idea for about 6 months now. We tried everything that we could think of or read. We even tried some tricks we did with Miles. So we laid off for awhile because it was becoming very stressful for all of us.

About two weeks ago while we were in Wal-Mart, Morgan wanted a Barbie, so I made a deal with her. If she became potty trained then I would get her the barbie. Well it took about two days after that to "sink in", I guess. But Morgan has been keeping us on our feet every since. We have had one or two accidents so far. She is doing very good with her "big girl panties". So, we are trying to keep everyone up to speed on how she is doing at the house so they can keep her on the same track.

Physical Theropy Is OVER!!!

YAY!!! I am finished with PT. After two days a week for a month, I can now touch my toes without any pain. I am always going to have some pain due to the scoliosis, but I have started to do pilates to help strengthen my core muscles in that area. Also, hopefully it will help me shed some more of this weight off of me. But we'll see. Stress has really put the pounds on, but I know that I'll be stressing until Ryan finds another job.

Father's Day Weekend

We went down to BFT this weekend. We celebrated Brittany and JP's birthdays and Father's Day Saturday. Ryan's mom rented a 28ft water slide for the celebration. Then on Sunday we left their house and drove up to Pomaria to have dinner with Gram and Pop. It was a good weekend. Here are the videos of the kids coming down the slide.

Summer Flowers

Seems like we have had alot of rain in the past two weeks. I think we had a shower at least once a day. And due to all the rain, my Hydrangea's and Day Lilies have really put out the blooms. Just wanted to show them off a bit. Can't wait for my summer Iris' to bloom.

The hydrangeas are Mophead (big Leaf) Nikko Blues. I'm getting the Purple and Pinks in the second bush, because the sun is taking the aluminum out of the soil. Can't make up my mind whether I want to add wood ashes to the soil to get the blue back in that part of the bush or not.

Here are my Day Lilies. I have them on the left side of the house along the fence line. It gets alot of sun, but they are shaded for the most of the hotter part of the afternoon.Star Dream

Physical Therapy

As many of you know, I have been dealing with Lumbar Scoliosis for sometime now. Over Easter weekend, I was down in the bed several hours due to pain and stiffness in my back. Well, as soon as I got a day off from work I went to the Dr.'s to find out that I have a degenerative disc in my back. So today I have started PT to help improve this condition. If I don't then I will probably be looking at surgery. (that is a 6 month down time) So, I am praying that this does not happen. I will be going twice a week for who knows how long. I'll keep everyone posted on what is going on, either via email or on here.

Back from Beaufort

We just got back from an awesome weekend with Ryans parents in Beaufort. We actually didn't run into any rain until our way home today. We went out in the river in their "big boat" to watch the Air Show. It was pretty neat. Hadn't seen the Blue Angels since I was a kid. Morgan really enjoyed it, even though she couldn't make up her mind who she wanted to sit with. Miles had to go below deck because it was to loud for him. And I, well...I cooked in the sun. Didn't bother me until the ride home today. All I can say is, Aloe Vera is my friend. But I'm hoping that I will tan nicely, and not peel.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!! For Mother's day we went down to Pomaria to go to the Zoo with Gram and Pop. After that we had a cookout at the farm. It was fun being with the family and watching the kids have fun. This was Sarah's 1st Mother's day and Thomas's 1st visit to the Zoo since he was an infant. He will be turning the BIG 1 on the 21st.

Miles is getting to big to sit on the turtle...

Introducing Itchie

We got our new addittion to the family. Miles has named him Itchie. Those of you who have seen All Dogs go to Heaven, you may remember the lead character's BFF who was a Dauschand, his name was Itchie. So we have our Dauschand Itchie. Got to love kids naming things.

PictureLily Photography

Well, the family went down to Prosperity to have some photos done by my awesome cousin Karen Beckham Pillows on April 25. We were the last of four groups in the family to have ours taken. She drove all the way up from Villa Rica, GA to take them. She did a great job with the kids. Especially Morgan, who wanted to do her own thing. Here are my sneek peeks from Karen. I can't wait to see the rest. So excited.

Mrytle Beach

Well, we decided to pack up the kids and head to the beach to see some of my family and to get away from Clinton for awhile. The kids really enjoyed themselves even though they didn't get in the water. We all had a blast visiting with family, and picking up shells. Here are some pics of the kids on the beach.

SNOW 2009

Here are some pics from the snow this March. We had between 4 and 5 inches. It was a pretty good present for my b'day. The kids really enjoyed themselves.
